Recruiting  Law Students  Summer Program  Training and Mentoring
As reflected by the firm’s Lawyer Development Program, the firm devotes substantial resources to developing successful lawyers.Similarly, the firm’s summer program provides effective, “hands-on” training and mentoring for summer associates.

Throughout the summer, the firm conducts weekly orientation sessions to introduce the summer associates to life at the firm. These sessions educate the summer associates about understanding clients’ business issues, law firm economics, pro bono work, legal writing and various other matters. In addition, we provide our summer associates with "real life" lawyer experiences and hands-on training. We arrange for summer associates to attend hearings or trials and to be included in client meetings and conference calls.

In addition, we have arranged Department Theme Weeks. During these theme weeks each department organizes a presentation to discuss the intricacies of its practice, hosts a social event and organizes a practice specific "field trip". These theme weeks allow the summer associates to get to know the specialties of the firm.

Each of our summer associates is assigned to a Member mentor and an associate advisor to assist with their transition and to provide the "inside scoop" about various aspects of the firm. Both the mentor and advisor are available to discuss work assignments and feedback, working relationships, and any other issues the summer associate may wish to discuss.
